Five Quick Tasks Under 5 Minutes That Bring Plenty of Satisfaction

Have you been feeling dismotivated to complete certain home-related tasks lately? With working from home, home schooling and spending more time indoors than before, many of us are likely familiar with feeling uninspired to complete certain activities around our houses.

Let’s face it – admitting it can be uncomfortable but admitting is good! No doubt, you have overlooked your kitchen mess, been overwhelmed with other commitments, or simply kept the bedroom doors shut on some days – leaving cleaning and organizing tasks until last on your list of priorities.

If you want to feel more productive and break the ‘blahs, we have five tasks that take less than five minutes and can bring tremendous satisfaction while serving as a welcome distraction.

1. Clean Handprints from Refrigerator, Oven and Cabinets
To quickly transform a dirty kitchen into an immaculate one in no time flat, dedicate just five minutes of your time cleaning handprints from refrigerator, oven and cabinet surfaces as well as other appliances in the kitchen.

Cleanliness doesn’t seem like much, but prints build up and must be regularly removed in order to reveal smooth surfaces. Cleaning will make a noticeable difference!

Utilize an all-purpose spray and cloth, soap and water, or both for quick cleanups. Buff over with a clean, dry cloth to eliminate any residue left behind from previous application methods.

2. Conduct a Speed Fridge Clear-Out
For an immensely rewarding and effortless task, speed fridge clean-outs are an absolute must! Opening your refrigerator and throwing away anything out-of-date or too sad-looking is all it takes – don’t forget the veggie draw or cheese bin too!

Just throwing stuff out can be so liberating and satisfying! Take the time to tidy everything up and give the shelves a quick wipe down for a feeling of accomplishment and self-pride.

3. Fill-a-bin-bag Challenge
Set the timer for five minutes, walk around your house, and fill a bin bag with items you have been meaning to get rid of for quite some time now.
