Elevated Indoor Greenery: Introducing the Arum Plant Family
Monstera? Check. Devil’s Ivy? Certainly. If you have an affinity for indoor greenery, chances are good that you already own some members of the stunning Arum family of plants.
Arum (also referred to as Araceae) flowers have long been beloved plants among indoor gardeners due to their hardiness, sculpture-like forms, speedy growth and abundance of glossy green leaves. They provide indoor gardeners with plenty of enjoyment!
Why are they such a hit among indoor gardeners?
Maggie Dunleavy, our resident indoor plant expert and Greener House Nursery co-founder provided us with insight into this special category of plants.
Plants belonging to the Arum Family thrive in well-draining soil and well-lit, warm positions. Each variety varies slightly in how much light it requires.
These babies do not require much watering; however, whenever they do receive some, it should be thoroughly soaked into the soil to allow it to soak through before leaving it to dry off naturally.
Monstera Delicasa (commonly known as Fruit Salad Plant) ranks high on any indoor plant list.
Planting trees is simple and will bring joyous results in terms of care requirements and gorgeous branches that reach towards the sun.
Monstera plants make ideal additions to a warm spot with diffused lighting in your home and require only occasional maintenance such as gentle wipe down of its leaves.
